A small tracking device hidden in your belongings

Apple AirTags, Samsung SmartTags, and Tile trackers are small enough to hide in a bag, car, or coat pocket. Someone may have placed one in your belongings to track your location.

What You Might Notice

  • Your iPhone alerts you to an 'AirTag Found Moving With You'

Apple sends alerts when an unknown AirTag is travelling with you. Take this seriously.

  • You find a small disc-shaped device you don't recognise

AirTags are coin-sized white discs. SmartTags are similar. Check bags, car compartments, and jacket pockets.

What You Can Do

  • If you find an unknown tracker, don't destroy it

It may contain evidence. Keep it and report to police. You can disable an AirTag by removing the battery.

Consider that removing the tracker may alert the person tracking you.

  • Android users: install Apple's Tracker Detect app or use Bluetooth scanner

Android doesn't automatically alert for AirTags. Install a detection app.
