Apps designed to keep children safe — like Google Family Link or Screen Time — can also be used to monitor and control an adult partner's phone usage, location, and communications.
Modern stalkerware is designed to run quietly. A phone that isn't slowing down, overheating, or draining its battery does not mean monitoring software is absent. Trust patterns of behaviour (the other person knowing things they shouldn't) over device performance alone.
App limits, content filters, or screen time restrictions that you didn't configure — someone with admin access set these up.
